Arsenal’s Full-Back positions have been an area of concern over recent seasons, however now it appears that the club have a duo who are capable of complimenting each other and playing in a way that allows Head Coach Mikel Arteta to implement a style that has a large focus on building out from the back. Tierney and Bellerin have very different Passing Profile’s with Tierney having more of a presence in the Final Third and a seemingly more decisive final ball, whereas Bellerin has more of a presence in Arsenal’s build-up, providing a wide option in Mikel Arteta’s 3–4–3 that allows Arsenal to create overloads on the right wing as Dani Ceballos, Bellerin and Nicolas Pepe form a triangle in build-up to ensure passing lanes remain open which was evidenced in Arsenal’s first goal in the FA Cup Semi-Final win over Man City.

As we can see above Bellerin is being pressed but Arsenal’s structured build-up play means he has 3 definite passing options to choose from. Eventually the ball found it’s way out to Kieran Tierney on the left who’s incisive forward pass to Alexandre Lacazette set the goal in motion.
